My husband is a senior minister of a church who followed the previous minister who was there for more than 45 years (and still lives in town and attends and sings in the choir). After arriving and three months later we found out he had had several affairs including with a staff member. The church leadership is in now way ready to deal with this issue. He was their long-time friend. This has been the most painful situation we've ever been in. We had consultants come in, and the leadership just can't accept the advice. Church member came to my husband and shared their concerns about his affairs. So naturally my husband needed to address the issue. It's taken three and half years for them to try to figure out how to keep this a secret. I feel terrible for them, because they don't realize when it does come out, it's going to blow up in their faces. Please pray for us and our church, they need as many prayers as possible.
